Virtus Training

There will be a Live Virtus Training session held on Thursday, September 28th at Noon in the basement of St. John's Church in Ortonville. This will be for any parents, substitute teachers, or volunteers this year. If you are chaperoning any trip with students you need to make sure you have gone through this training. Coat Drive

Each year we do an annual coat drive to help those less fortunate. If you have any winter coats, snow pants, boots, gloves, hats or any other winter accessory that you no longer need, please consider donating them to the church. These items can de dropped off in any of the church offices. Please consider helping someone stay warm this winter. Mystery Dinner Theater

The St. Lawrence Catholic School in Milbank, SD is sponsoring A Mystery Dinner Theather at the Speedway Event Center in Milbank on Friday, October 6th and Saturday, October 7th. Council of Catholic Women

Region 4 CCW will be having their annual meeting at St. Isidore the Farmer Area Faith Community on Tuesday, October 3rd at the Sacred Heart Church in Murdock.  Registration begins at 5:30pm, Holy Mass at 6pm and dinner served at 7:00pm. Deacon Mike McKeown will be sharing insights from the recent Concovation of Catholic Leaders on how to share the Joy of the Gospel with those who need it most. Turkey Commercial Dinner

Please join us for a free will Hot Turkey Commercial Dinner along with cranberries, green beans, dessert and beverages on Sunday, October 1st in the parish center. Serving will be from 11am to 1pm and take outs will be available. Proceeds of the dinner will go to the youth that are attending the National Catholic Youth Conference in November that is held in Indianapolis, IN.  Everyone is welcome to join us for food and fellowship.

RCIA

The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA), is a process developed by the Catholic Church for prospective converts to Catholicism who are above the age of infant baptism. RCIA is also for those who were not confirmed as teenagers, or those who grew up in another religion and now want to be Catholic. Candidates are gradually introduced to aspects fo the Catholic beliefs and practices. As an adult, it usually takes a few months of (RCIA) classes and you are officially brought in during the Easter Vigil. Harvest Mass - Madison

Please join us for the harvest mass to be held at Ed & Sue Vonderharr's farm at 1946 Hwy 75 in Madison on Tuesday, September 12th. Mass will be held at 5:30pm followed by a potluck meal. Please bring a chair and something to share for the meal. Everyone is welcome to this celebration as we pray for a safe and bountiful harvest.
